The Importance of Maintaining Connections

There are so many women (and men) I have met and talked with and shared time with over the last 5 years of being in business. I cannot tell you how blessed I am and how grateful I feel to have these people in my life.  I also know that in my “past life” I had many connections that just kind of drifted away as I made my way in my own business. It was just wonderful this week that I reconnected with several of those women, and I am so grateful they reached out and I was there to hear their message: I miss you and let’s get together.

We had so much fun talking about the old days and things we used to do and our shared experiences. We also talked about the many directions our lives have taken since we last spoke. It was like all the time had been swept away, and was just yesterday. So much of what we do every day, and the connections we make are what determines how we move forward.  It is what makes us so human, and feeds our soul, and helps us progress along the path our energies create. It’s also very nice to know someone still cares, that you touched someone and they still feel your heart.

The message is that no matter how many new connections, friendships, and relationships we have every is just as important to reach out and keep in touch and stay connected with the past.  It is what made us who we are and those shared experiences create a special bond.

I want to thank the women I met with this week that reminded me that I did make a difference in their lives in some way, and they did in mine.

Keep reaching out, remembering and stay connected. Follow an impulse to call or write an old friend or family member. Take the’s worth it. Priceless!!

Hugs, Debbie
