The “Gal” In Front of the Room

Quite often when you are in a meeting, seminar, training session, or company event, there is a person in the front of the room. She is teaching, training, coaching or directing the group she is leading.

What she is saying, teaching, or directing is not nearly important as why she is there~She is sharing her information, direction and lesson with you…that is important and educational.  But the fact that she is putting herself OUT THERE, for all to see and learn from. She is passionate about why she is there, and cares enough about YOU to be there to give you what you need.

No matter the office or title of the person in front of the room…it can be at every level from Sunday School teacher to the President of the United States.  Each and every time you put your self in front of a group of people, you are taking a chance that you will be judged, criticized, or some group members will disagree with you or your message. That does not matter to that passionate and brave person..what matters to her is that she has been given an amazing gift…a forum for sharing her heart, her thought, her passion as well as her information. She has been trusted to lead and guide and she takes that privilege to heart.

I am so proud of the women that agree to be Chapter leaders, co leaders, and event leaders for GPS. You are volunteering your time, your energy and your skills to help others..that is a blessing that is destined to return to you many times over.

When you attend a GPS meeting, event or mixer..take a moment to THANK the leader of that event. They have given their time and energy to help YOU get all you can get from this amazing organization.

Sincerely, Debbie

  1. Thank you Debbie, That was a nice blog.

  2. Thank you Debbie for the nice things you always say to us. But we are only as good as our leadership from you.

This is my first experience with GPS and joined the Glendale 2 group. Debbie is right on about being in front, we subject our self to judgement.
Thank you Debbie for not just putting together a “net working ” group but a vehicle to make friends & new relationships.

Look forward to seeing you at the event. Blessings!
